Garden

Our garden has been doing very well this year & we've already been able to enjoy fresh lettuce, spinach, & broccoli. A few snapshots:
The beautiful arbor Steve designed & built (the plant growing up the side is hops - we'll be able to use our homegrown hops in homebrew beer!)
A side view of the garden

Garden from the front (the arbor is directly to the right of the garden) - we have corn, onion, carrot, broccoli, tomato, anaheim/serrano/poblano peppers, spinach, and two types of lettuce

*Note: these pictures are from several weeks ago. Everything is much taller & we have made some changes. The lettuce & spinach reached their peak, so we pulled what was left & have planted two tomato plants, one melon & one acorn squash plant in their place. When other plants reach their peak & we have more open rows in the garden (such as carrot & onion), we will plant another round of cool weather veggies that we will be able to harvest closer to the fall (i.e. more lettuce, spinach, etc).

We love having fresh veggies! Every year that we garden & the better we get at it, the bigger I want to make our yearly gardens. :)
